Hugo Blomley

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting)

Hugo's practice operates across painting and installation. He is interested in disagreeing with a problem and constructs idiosyncratic systems that play with the abstraction of historical pile-ups. In turn, the work limns relationships of dependency and ordered hierarchies, attempting to illustrate some sort of chaos.

Hugo also has a collaborative practice with Clara Joyce; together they run NWEB, a curatorial project with an adaptive methodology interested in the potential of collaboration and organisation.
