I am a painter whose work oscillates between analogue and digital mediums and modes of production. I am interested in how artificial intelligence can subvert the creative process and form a symbiotic relationship between artist and algorithm. My recent works engage with the aesthetics of these neural networks through their implementation into a painting practice. These synthesised abstractions traverse the uncanny as the works slip between the real and the virtual. My paintings have been exhibited throughout Australia, Europe and the United States, and I was a finalist in last year's Archibald Portrait Prize (2019).
