I create artwork out of dialogue, snippets of information and cosy textures. My sculptural and video practice of storytelling links the visual image to the written word. Stories grounded in my lived experience are shared in the form of immersive, multimedia installations. Instinct directs my delicately chosen colour palette and I find beauty in the ordinary moments of life. Latch, Punch, Weave, Tuft, Sleep is inspired by the intimacy of messy linen, unmade bed covers and the imprint of where bodies once lay. Through memory tracing I write personal and partially fictional narratives of normalcy that inform abstract, yet cinematic video and hand-tufted textile works made of found, recycled and hand-dyed wool.
