Tom Bourke

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photography)

Atmospherically and sonically, I attempt to grab my viewer and pull them into my own world. I manipulate space into something new through playful installations of photography, collage, sound and sculpture that can appear sinister, camp and intense.

Inspired by popular culture, modernity and technology, my practice frees my mind from the barriers of society. I take inspiration from the world around me constantly; from high gloss ‘toys’ one day, to psychological thriller the next. There is no simple way to pinpoint what my work is or will ever be. Why be inspired by one idea, when I could do anything?
